Transfer to the hotel.  Accommodation at the hotel (under contract).

Sightseeing city tour (2-3 hours).

Dinner (meeting with the representative of the tour operator, information about the details of the trip).

Day 2

Breakfast at the hotel.

Tour: rocky Butte "Frog" (travel time 10:00 – 15:00).

Rock "Frog" — the only one of nature the age of 70 million years, a very unusual place of power.  The travel time along the ecological path to the foot of the mountain takes approximately 20 minutes.  Then a short but steep climb to the Butte "Frog", which takes 20-30 minutes.  The summit offers amazing scenery and in good weather it is possible to see the Anivsky Bay, lake Tunaycha and Changeable.  Light meal during short stops (Packed Lunches).

Transfer to the city.

Day 3

Breakfast

07:30 – transfer to the airport.

09:30 – departure to Kurilsk.

10:50 – arrival in Kurilsk (Iturup island).  Transfer to the hotel.  Accommodation at the hotel (under contract).

Visit Ankita, which is a plateau of lava flows.  Beautiful scenery opens from the foot of the volcano Cirip.

Lunch in the camp (dry rations).

Hot springs in the village of "Fishermen".

Dinner at the cafe.

Day 4

Breakfast.

Excursion by car to the White cliffs" (duration 7-8 hours).

By car we are on the coastline along the "White Cliffs", the thickness of PEMs which makes up the White cliffs that looks homogeneous.  It was formed already in historical time, by a huge eruption of hot gas clouds.  Stone age people could be witnesses or even victims of this event, which pales before the Eruption of Vesuvius covered Pompeii.

Hot springs "Hot water" (1 hour).

Day 5

Breakfast.

Check out the volcano of Baransky (duration 5-6 hours).

The volcano of Baransky – one of the most accessible volcanoes on Iturup island.  At its foot we can observe a picturesque volcanic landscape: mud pots, fumaroles, hot pools of acid unusual turquoise and hot mineral streams.  12 km from the foot on top of 516 meters and is situated trigonometric sign, so the top called "Trinoga".  Rise to the top, lingering, gentle.  From the top of the "Tripod" a panoramic view: to the West of the Kuril Bay, p. Whale, Kuril'sk; from the North the volcano Bohdan Khmelnytsky; in the East Bay Space, S. RAID, the White cliffs;  in the South the volcanoes Baranski (height 1132км.),  Teben'kova, Ivan, mountain Top.  From the ground beaten healing springs, warm river flows from deep Boiling of the lake.  Descending from the volcano, you can swim in the hot springs and enjoy the magnificent beauty of the volcano!

ATTENTION!  In the area of the fumarole fields are precautions you can sink into the hot mud, mineral springs – get chemical burns.  You can swim only in sources with a certain temperature of water.

Day 6

A visit to the fishery in Kurilsk.

Transfer to the port.

12:00 boarding the ship.

14:00 – departure to Kunashir island.

Day 7

09:00 - arrival at the port of Yuzhno-Kurilsk, Kunashir island (ATTENTION!  It is possible to change the arrival time).

Transfer to the hotel "iceberg".  Accommodation in rooms with private facilities on the block.

A visit to the fumarole fields of Mendeleev volcano (the route is of medium difficulty).  Active volcano South of the island of Kunashir.  Named after the great Russian chemist D. I. Mendeleev in 1946.

Complex stratovolcano with Central extrusive dome.  The altitude of 886 m (according to other sources — 888 m).  The cone of a volcano surrounded by a large Caldera, which was formed as a result of the destruction of the cone of an ancient volcano.  Steam and gas emissions and increased fumarolic activity in 1880, 1901, 1946, 1977

On the slopes of the volcano there are a lot of fumaroles and hot springs, the surface of the slopes are covered with coniferous and broad-leaved forests with a dense undergrowth of Kuril bamboo and cedar elfin.  At the foot a place of rest "Hot beach" where the water from volcanic springs is used as a natural therapeutic baths.

The status of state monument of nature was conferred on him in 1983.

The Mendeleev volcano refers to the protected areas is the integrated and regional nature monument total area of 30 000 hectares (category III classification).

Day 8

Route of medium difficulty: the Caldera of a volcano Golovnin, the Boiling lake, a Hot lake.

Check out the route transport to 43 km, then walk 8 km in one direction.

Inspection of the Golovnin volcano Caldera, lakes and Boiling Hot.  Bathing in the Hot lake (Boiling lake swimming is prohibited).

The Golovnin Caldera (Caldera kotloobraznye depression with steep slopes and a flat bottom, formed as a result of the failure of the summit of the volcano).  Diameter of Caldera at the crest of more than four kilometers.  You can imagine how powerful the blast occurred here during the eruption of the volcano.  Inside the Caldera at an altitude of 130 meters above sea level are situated two lakes and Boiling Hot.  Jet of hydrogen sulphide and sulphur dioxide gases of the Solfatara, the emission of hot water, thick vapor and an ever-changing color of the water create an impressive picture.

Day 9

Breakfast.

Route of medium difficulty: the Cape bar.

Cape "Columnar" - a unique place where the natural pavement, "red square" is replaced by the types of stone pencils, weighing 40 tonnes and deep-water fiords.  Bizarre rocks in which you hear the sound of organ music, a true millennial monuments... in Fact they were the first land that emerged from the depths of the ocean and remained almost intact to our times.

The exit of the nature trail and mud, therapeutic hot springs "Stolbovskie".  (Driving a car, then on foot along the beach 40 min).

Ecological trail.  The flora of the island is rich and includes species distributed from the subtropics to the Northern latitudes.  Along forest trails thick hedges are white and stone birch grey velvet tree trunks, ash, fir Sakhalin with whitish trunks.  Up the slope flashing blue spruce needles Ayan.  The eyes stop on the trunk with red band, conducted by caring human hands.  This is a warning: caution – the Magnolia!  Highly to sunlight raised it the branches with large leaves at the time of flowering, the aroma of its large white flowers spread all around.

Cape "Giant" - a monument of nature, one of the most beautiful sea coasts of Sakhalin.  Bizarre rocks, the outlines of which someone sees the lion coming up out of the sea, someone mysterious castle, and someone is the head of the hero-giant, dozing at the water's edge, towering along the coast from Cape Bird to Cape Giant.  Amaze by their grandeur of the stone arch, created by the greatest architect of Nature.  On the cliff tops and arches bustle of noisy gulls, proudly scurry cormorants and Swifts.  Along the narrow strip of sandy beach spruce-fir forest on the sea terrace, where Christmas trees are carefully hiding from the cold sea wind, "turning" to the sea of Okhotsk "back".  And here you can observe one of the most amazing phenomena of nature - the spawning run of Pacific salmon, namely pink, if your trip falls on the period from July to August.
