After meeting the group at the railway station of Kandalaksha will take you to the village of Kuzomen ' (3.5 hours) where you will be accommodated on the base.
If you arrive in Apatity or Murmansk, the transfer to the base will be held on the eve of the start of the program (5-7 hours).
Kuzomen ' is an old Pomeranian village located on the high Bank of the river Varzuga.
Three sides of the village surrounded by the most Northern desert in the world — famous Kuzminskie red Sands, stretching for fifteen miles along the coast of the White sea.
Arriving in the village, you will pick the gear and go through training on the management of the buggy before getting on the route.
Then you will go along the White sea coast to the village of Kashkarantsy.
The first stop on the route will be the amethyst coast of the Cape the Ship.
This place is famous for large amethyst field, which began to develop for their needs, the monks of the Solovetsky monastery in the XVI century.
Large amethysts on the Cape can not be found, however you can find on the shore of amethyst crusts shimmering on the sun with a rich purple colour.
Next you will stop at the chapel of the unnamed monk of the Terek.
You will learn the mysterious story of a monk, on the grave site of which a chapel was built, and then visit a Holy spring in the area Tony Whetstone.
Continuing the route, you will arrive at Kashkarantsy village, surrounded by the sea on three sides.
The local Church houses the icon of the Tikhvin mother of God, according to legend, saved in January of 1888 the inhabitants of the village from impending doom.
Then your path lies in the Varzuga is the most ancient Pomor settlement on the Tersky shore.
You have to overcome the first speed stage of the way first tight after low tide the sandy beach, and then along the scenic forest road.
The first mention of Varzuga are found in the Novgorod Chronicles and are associated with the campaign of Norwegians in 1419.
