The tour program

1 day

We are pleased to welcome you in Irkutsk!  Meeting at 09:30 in the morning with your guide at the airport or train station, meeting, departure for a sightseeing tour of the city.  Irkutsk – a merchant city with an interesting history, in 2016 he was 355 years.  We will visit the place of Foundation of the city, the embankment of the Angara river, the Moscow gate, the historic quarter.  After the tour – accommodation in hotels.  Free time, you will be able to visit the Museum of the Decembrists and the nerpinary.

Day 2

Early morning go on a tour of "Circum-Baikal railway".  On the first bus ride to Listvyanka.  From Listvyanka by ferry crossing to Port Baikal, where going to Board the tourist train of the Circum-Baikal Express.  In the 11 hours journey on an old railway.

Circum-Baikal railway is called the "Golden buckle" of the steel belt of Russia, it was built in tsarist times and is rightfully the most beautiful and the most expensive railway in Russia.  You will see unique architectural buildings, tunnels and stone galleries and, of course, with anything nor incomparable views of lake Baikal.

Arrival to Irkutsk late in the evening.  Transfer to the hotel.

Day 3

Morning minibuses depart to Olkhon island – the biggest and beautiful island of Baikal.  The journey time is 5-6 hours.  Rowed the ferry across the Strait of Olkhon gate, get on the island.  Another 35 km of track and we are in the Khuzhir is the tourist capital of the island.

Lunch.  Lodging in our resort/hotel (according to the chosen tour).

Walking tour to Shamanka rock, which is the hallmark of the island.

Day 4

Eating Breakfast and going on a tour.  Today you will enjoy a trip to the North of the island – Cape Khoboy.  The tour allows you to see the unique natural landscapes: sand dunes and trees-stilt, white-marble cliffs and steep banks.  Once on Hobie, you will realize how big and beautiful lake Baikal, because around you will the vast water spaces, which merge with the horizon.

Khoboy since ancient times, is revered by locals and considered a Holy place, so take any object, move stones, and to shout loudly as we do.

After a lunch of tasty Baikal fish soup go to the Cape Shunte, or as it is popularly called the Cape of Love.  The guide will tell you the origin of this name.

Return to the base.  Dinner.

Day 5

Breakfast.  Today you can enjoy a boat trip on lake Baikal"the Healing springs - the island Ogoi".  By crossing the Small sea the ship arrives in the picturesque Bay where the Silver source with healing water.  Drinking the healing waters and delicious lunch, go further to the island Ogoy.  To Ogoja you will touch the Buddhist Shrine – Stupa of enlightenment.  The stupa is dedicated to the Dakini Troma Nagmo, a Buddhist goddess that suppresses all negative manifestations in the World.  Here you can make a wish and around the Stupa clockwise three times – believed to have all our plans must be fulfilled.

Return to the base.  Dinner.

Day 6

Today you have a free day, plan for it yourself!  Here are a few options for your holiday on lake Baikal:

Tour in the southern part of the island.  Promise you'll be amazed at how many surprises are hidden in itself by monochrome at first glance, the steppe

- Fishing on lake Baikal.  Experienced fishermen will tell you the local ways and tricks of fishing, a good catch is guaranteed!

- Trip to Olkhon island by Bicycle, catamaran cruises, Quad rental, and more.

These excursions are to be paid independently.

Day 7

Breakfast.  Transfer to Irkutsk by buses and minibuses (standard check out time is 12:30), journey time about 6 hours.  Stop at a roadside cafe (the food itself).
