Arrival in Severobaikalsk. 7km trekking.
Please make sure that you arrive in Severobaikalsk before 15.00 local time (time difference with Moscow, +5 hours). Meeting your instructor at 15.00 at the railway station (please contact your agency for the instructor’s phone number appr a week before your trip). It is advisable to contact the agency for exact meeting time before the trip, and in case all guests arrive early, it is possible, subject to their mutual consent, to set the meeting earlier. Transfer to OBO, one of most revered ritual places in North Baikal area where local shamans and Buddhist lamas perform their rituals. OBO also has a most scenic panorama of Onkochan Bay and Slyudyanka lakes. This place is famous for its unique beauty and its magic force, here you can make wishes and perform a special ritual to worship local spirits and ask them for protection on your long journey. Descent to Segonda bay, laying out the camp, night spent on Baikal shore.

Trekking from Segonda bay to Onokochan Bay, distance: 8km.
The trail goes along the Baikal coast and it gives you a wonderful opportunity to enjoy the majestic view of silent mountains and peaceful harmony of the Baikal waters. (In case the water stays high in the Slyudyanka river, you will be offered a bus transfer to the next camping site).

Trekking from Onokochan Bay to Slyudyanka bay, distance: 7km.
The guests walk along the Baikal shore to the most scenic Slyudyanka Bay bordered with thick forests. From Slyudyanka bay the trek goes on to the Slyudyanka lakes, thermal lakes only 400 meters away from the Baikal shore. There water is always 6 degrees warmer than the Baikal water. Laying out a camp. Guests may enjoy swimming in the Baikal or take a walk to the lakes. Russian steam bath on request (for additional fee)

Radial trek to Slyudyanka Adits, distance: 8km.
In 1932-37 one of GULAG camps was located there; its inmates had to work in mica mines. Guests ascend the top of a mountain which boasts an amazing view of Slyudyanka lakes separated from Baikal by a thin neck of land, of Baikal unruffled water and majestic rocks on its opposite shore.

Tonky Cape cleaves the Baikal water, like a boat, with its pointed bow.

Trekking from Slyudyanka lakes to Boguchan bay, distance: 8km.
The trail is laid along the Baikal shore and it follows the Big Baikal Way. It offers visitors its scenic panoramas of the Baikal waters, Boguchan Island and Boguchan lake.

Trekking from Boguchan Bay to Ludar Cape, distance: 8km.
Laying out a camp next to an old fishermen village of Baikalskoye which is famous for a site of primitive men discovered nearby and its cave with rock paintings and petroglyphs. There is also a weather station on the top of the local rock. Ludar Cape scenery and its views are very similar to those of Olkhon.

Transfer to Severobaikalsk, distance: 40km.
Transfer from Ludar Cape to old fishermen village of Baikalskoye and then on to Severobaikalsk. Departure at appr 10am, local time. Visit to a local market where guests can buy the famous Baikal omul fish (closely related to salmon), transfer to the railway station.

Rent of backpacks (50 rubles a day, please book in advance).
After the tour guests will have an opportunity to visit Goudgekit
thermal spring (for additional fee). A minibus leaves from the railway
station, departure: 9.00, 12.00, 15.00, trip duration: 1 hour, fare, 60
rubles. Return bus departure: 10.00, 13.00, 15.00.
Fee for swimming in the springs, 250 rubles.
Approximate time of arrival in Severobaikalsk after the tour:
10.00-11.00 AM. Accommodation in Severobaikalsk or Goudgekit for an
extra night on request (advance booking), price: 700 rubles per person.

Trasport
Guests are recommended to
take the Moscow-Severobaikalsk No 92 (292) Train. The tour itinerary is
designed to match its time of arrival, and if guests choose to take
another transport, they are kindly requested to inform the agency in
advance especially if the date of their arrival/departure is different
from that on the tour itinerary. In that case, they are requested to
book their extra days accommodation in advance (for additional price).

By air.
Nizhneangarsk Airport operates Buryatavia flights to Ulan-Ude (duration:
1h 20min) and to Irkutsk (duration: 1h 15 min). There’s a charter
minibus going from the airport to Severobaikalsk railway station,
distance: 25km, trip duration: 15-30 min.
By water.
A high-speed comfortable "Kometa” boat goes to Ceverobaikalsk from
Irkutsk. Duration: 10 hours, on the way the boat crosses Baikal south to
north and travelers have an opportunity to enjoy Baikal’s most scenic
views (Listvyanka, Smaller Sea, Olkhon, Ushkanyi Islands).
Departure from Irkutsk: Tuesday and Friday 8.20-8.50 AM local time from "Raketa” pier;
Departure from Severobaikalsk (Severobaikalsk port): Wednesday and Saturday, 8.20-8.50 AM local time.
